The Gray Gables Railroad Station was built around 1892 by the Old Colony Railroad to serve President Grover Cleveland's nearby summer home, Gray Gables, which functioned as his summer White House during his second term and was linked to Washington by a direct telegraph line. After the station closed (service ended in the late 1930s), the Bourne Historical Society acquired it in 1976 and moved it to the Aptucxet Trading Post Museum in 1977, where it was renovated in 2013-2014 and now serves as a small museum of Cleveland's ties to the area and local railroad history.
