History

Barnstable Center Cemetery is a historic burying ground in the village of Barnstable, the seat of Barnstable County, and a contributing property within a National Register historic district in the village's colonial core along Main Street (Route 6A). Like the other early graveyards clustered in the village, it holds generations of the town's founding and early-national families beneath the slate and marble markers typical of Cape Cod.
