About this walk

A night-school business program that met in a Springfield YMCA in 1919 grew into a full private university with its own law and pharmacy colleges on Wilbraham Road.

Every campus tells one story to visitors and another to itself. This walk covers both. Four stops over 0.7 miles, about 17 minutes of driving. Each one starts talking the moment you reach it, so you can keep your eyes on the street instead of a screen.

Of the five MassRoam tours in Springfield, this is the campus one. There is no start time to make — walk it in one go, or leave the rest for another afternoon.
