It may be the only college in America where students walk to class past the shops that once armed the United States Army.
Every campus tells one story to visitors and another to itself. This walk covers both. Four stops over 0.3 miles, about 38 minutes of walking. Each one starts talking the moment you reach it, so you can keep your eyes on the street instead of a screen.
Of the five MassRoam tours in Springfield, this is the campus one. There is no start time to make — walk it in one go, or leave the rest for another afternoon.
