History

Greenlawn Cemetery, on Pleasant Street in East Longmeadow, has origins dated to the early nineteenth century in this Hampden County town later known for its brownstone quarries. Now protected by a preservation restriction, its stones record the families of the local farming and quarrying community. It is typical of the well-kept village burying grounds of the Connecticut River valley.
