History

Quaker Cemetery on Mayfair Road in Dennis is the burial ground of the local Society of Friends community and dates to about 1720. In keeping with Quaker custom, its markers are characteristically small and plain, avoiding the ornament and death's-head imagery of neighboring Puritan yards. The cemetery is part of a local historic district.
