History

Freeman Cemetery on Main Street in Sandwich was established about 1806 in one of the oldest towns on Cape Cod, taking its name from the prominent Freeman family long associated with the region. Its early-nineteenth-century markers stand within the historic core of Sandwich village. The cemetery is a contributing property in a National Register historic district.
