History

Bay View Cemetery is a historic burial ground on Main Street in Sandwich, the oldest town on Cape Cod. Established in 1860, it reflects the mid-Victorian era of Cape burial grounds, and is a contributing property in a National Register historic district. Its 19th-century monuments stand among the older colonial and early-American burying grounds that Sandwich is known for.
