About this walk

A Seven Sisters college wrapped around its own lake, whose graduates include two U.S. Secretaries of State and the author of "America the Beautiful."

A campus is an argument in brick about what education is for. Wellesley has a long-running one. Five stops over 1.5 miles, about an hour of walking. The story for each stop plays as you arrive, so nothing has to be looked up and nobody has to be followed.

Wellesley has three MassRoam tours and no two cover the same ground. It works as well at eight in the morning as it does at dusk. Stop for coffee, pick it back up.
