A driving tour of Malden's Converse Rubber Shoe Company roots, from a library gift to the factory's riverside site

Malden was built to make things, and the buildings still say so. Four stops over 2.4 miles, about 21 minutes of driving. The story for each stop plays as you arrive, so nothing has to be looked up and nobody has to be followed.

It works as well at eight in the morning as it does at dusk. Stop for coffee, pick it back up.
