About this walk

Started in 1915 by a Boston Symphony oboist and later home to the legendary teacher Nadia Boulanger, Longy makes its conservatory out of historic Cambridge houses rather than a single campus.

Every campus tells one story to visitors and another to itself. This walk covers both. Four stops over 0.5 miles, about 42 minutes of walking. Every stop narrates itself when you get there, at whatever pace you feel like walking.

It is one of eight tours in Cambridge, each taking a different line through the city. Nothing is booked and nothing expires, so you can start it on a whim and finish it whenever you like.
