About this walk

One of the oldest maritime academies in America, founded in 1891, where every cadet joins a uniformed regiment and ships out on a Sea Term aboard the training ship moored beside the Cape Cod Canal.

Every campus tells one story to visitors and another to itself. This walk covers both. Four stops over 1.3 miles, about 57 minutes of walking. Every stop narrates itself when you get there, at whatever pace you feel like walking.

It is one of two tours in Bourne, each taking a different line through the city. Nothing is booked and nothing expires, so you can start it on a whim and finish it whenever you like.
