About this walk

Founded in 1898 as a Boston YMCA evening school, Northeastern pioneered cooperative education and has grown into the largest university in Massachusetts, its Huntington Avenue campus the hub of a global network.

Every campus tells one story to visitors and another to itself. This walk covers both. Five stops over 0.1 miles, about 41 minutes of walking. The story for each stop plays as you arrive, so nothing has to be looked up and nobody has to be followed.

Boston has 50 MassRoam tours and no two cover the same ground. It works as well at eight in the morning as it does at dusk. Stop for coffee, pick it back up.
