About this walk

Born in 1908 as Portia Law School — the only law school in America exclusively for women — New England Law now trains its students from the heart of Boston's Theater District, among the city's oldest stages.

Every campus tells one story to visitors and another to itself. This walk covers both. Four stops over 0.4 miles, about 39 minutes of walking. The story for each stop plays as you arrive, so nothing has to be looked up and nobody has to be followed.

Boston has 50 MassRoam tours and no two cover the same ground. It works as well at eight in the morning as it does at dusk. Stop for coffee, pick it back up.
