About this walk

America's oldest independent music conservatory, founded in 1867, is anchored by acoustically celebrated Jordan Hall and sits on Boston's Avenue of the Arts, next door to Symphony Hall.

A campus is an argument in brick about what education is for. Boston has a long-running one. Four stops over 0.2 miles, about 35 minutes of walking. The story for each stop plays as you arrive, so nothing has to be looked up and nobody has to be followed.

Boston has 50 MassRoam tours and no two cover the same ground. It works as well at eight in the morning as it does at dusk. Stop for coffee, pick it back up.
