One of the North Shore's few independent art colleges, Montserrat folds its studios and galleries directly into downtown Beverly, centered on the Hardie Building — a 19th-century schoolhouse turned campus hub.
Every campus tells one story to visitors and another to itself. This walk covers both. Four stops over 0.7 miles, about 46 minutes of walking. The story for each stop plays as you arrive, so nothing has to be looked up and nobody has to be followed.
Beverly has two MassRoam tours and no two cover the same ground. It works as well at eight in the morning as it does at dusk. Stop for coffee, pick it back up.
