Significant for architecture, commerce, and community planning and development, this district encompasses the historic civic and commercial heart of Westfield in Hampden County, Massachusetts. History

The Westfield Second Methodist Church Marker in Westfield commemorates the town's early meetinghouse, the building that in colonial New England served as the center of both worship and town government.
