The Story

The Clovis Robert Block is a four-story, mixed-use brick commercial and residential building at Main and Cabot Streets in Holyoke, designed by architect George P. B. Alderman in 1881 and expanded under his direction in 1888. Faced in common red brick and organized into rhythmic masonry bays, its most notable architectural feature is a wide, three-story projecting center bay clad in dulled copper and inscribed "Robert / 1888."
