History

Sears Cemetery on Old County Road in Brewster was established in 1726 and is part of a local historic district. It is associated with the Sears family, one of the prominent early families of Brewster and the Cape Cod bayside, and holds eighteenth- and nineteenth-century stones of the town's founding households. As one of Brewster's older burying grounds, it preserves the memory of the sea captains and farmers who built the town.
