History

The Old Higgins Farm Windmill is an 18th-century smock windmill now standing at Drummer Boy Park off Old King's Highway in Brewster on Cape Cod. Built in 1795 in East Brewster, it ground grain until about 1900 and was moved several times before being relocated to its present site in 1974. Donated by Mrs. Samuel Nickerson to the Brewster Historical Society, which still maintains it, the mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and restored in 1976.
