The Story
The Seth Hallett House at 110 Main Street in the Hyannis village of Barnstable is a one-and-a-half-story, five-bay Cape cottage built about 1775 in the Federal style, with a center entry topped by a narrow transom, 6/6 windows, and shingle cladding; its original central chimney was later removed. It is significant as one of the few well-preserved period buildings remaining on Main Street in Hyannis and as the home of Seth Hallett, a prominent local citizen who served as town selectman during the mid-19th century.
