History

The First Baptist Church of Hyannis Cemetery was established in 1802 on Main Street in the Hyannis village of Barnstable and is part of a local historic district. It served the town's early Baptist congregation and holds the graves of Hyannis families from the first decades of the nineteenth century. The burying ground remains a tangible link to the religious life of the growing Cape Cod village.
