History
The Brewster Village Green Watering Trough, placed about 1902 on Main Street, is a granite trough of the kind once common in New England town centers, where it provided water for horses in the era before the automobile. It survives as a contributing object in Brewster's National Register historic district, a small reminder of everyday village life on Cape Cod at the turn of the twentieth century.
