Bethel Cemetery is a historic burial ground on Main Street in Chatham, established in 1831 during the town's growth as a Cape Cod fishing and maritime community. It is a contributing property within a National Register historic district, and its 19th-century markers reflect the changing gravestone styles of the period, from late slate stones to the marble and granite monuments that became common after 1830.
